Necessity of Dumpster for a clean and Hygienic environment

Dumpster:

A large container built with metal or plastic material to store and easy disposal of waste and to maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the environment is called a dumpster.

Waste Management Before Dumpster:

In early periods, waste and garbage were individual responsibility. People dispose of their household wastes in corners of streets, riversides, or pits located outside the village or city. Garbage handling became more difficult during the industrialization period. As the count of industries increases, the amount of waste disposed by industries also increases. Collecting and disposing of or relocating huge waste was very difficult.

The reusable and recyclable waste is collected from garbage and used for recycling. Some other wastes are filled into lands or burned to dispose of. It causes pollution and affects the environmental condition. Responsibility for household wastes belongs to the household person. So, they burn their garbage on their land or dump it into the river banks or pits near their house or in the corners of the street.

Improper handling of garbage affects the surroundings and hygiene of the environment.

Garbage management After Dumpster:

Managing garbage disposal from households and industries became easy after the invention of the dumpster. The container made up of metal or plastic will be placed in one location to collect waste from all houses in a particular area. Likewise, CFL Dumpsters were placed in different locations to collect waste. The containers contain wheels for easy transportation. So, it became easy to relocate waste from one place to another.

In places like industries, building demolition and construction sites produce huge amounts of waste, which can be easily collected and disposed of with the help of dumpsters.

The separate containers are placed to collect the different kinds of waste.

Kinds of waste:

  • Organic waste: Waste degraded by bacteria and fungi.
  • Reusable Or recycle waste: Paper, Cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, glass materials, etc.
  • Chemical Waste: The garbage from Industries.
  • Medical wastes: Used syringes, gloves, expired medicine, and used medicine bottles from hospitals.

The separate containers were placed for different kinds of waste. It reduces the time spent by laborers to separate garbage, protects them from accidents by sharp objects, and minimizes manpower.
